A One-Day Garden Tidy Up - Picture Gallery - Little Burton - Ashford.
This end of tenancy garden tidy up was a pleasure to do. After a long days work, the garden looked well maintained and usable again.
I was also delighted when the property agent offered me to maintain the garden regularly on a fortnightly basis.
Front garden. I don’t think this garden had been maintained at all this year.
The grass needed multiple strims and mowing. The shrubs were shaped, beds weeded and roses pruned.
Bramble alley. A long reach hedge trimmer cut through the bulk of these brambles. A sharp spade was required to dig out the roots, a weedkiller was then applied.
You can never guarantee to be rid of brambles at a first attempt, but with regular attention, you will get results.
Top Tip: When handling brambles or other thorny foliage, I put on a pair of welders gauntlets. Their tough leather means you can confidently grab anything and they also protect your lower arms too.
They are also cheap to buy compared to ‘thorn resistant gloves’ found in garden centres that are nowhere near as effective.
Rear Garden. The patio was cleared of all the pots and then weeded. The lawn had to be strimmed and mowed multiple times.
